World-famous for Brahadishwara temple, a historical monument dating back to 11th century which now is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The region also offers unique Tanjavur style paintings and Tanjavur dolls.

Day 06 : : Madurai
The temple city of, Madurai has a rich cultural heritage that goes back to over 2, 500 years. The city is synonymous with the celebrated Meenakshi temple which stands today as one of the country’s greatest architectural landmarks. Close to the temple is situated yet another architectural wonder, the Tirumalai Nayak Mahal, a classic blend of Dravidian, Islamic and European architecture.
After breakfast,visit famed Meenakshi Temple & stroll through the local market.Return to train for lunch.

Kanyakumari, sun rise point -at the tip of peninsular India, offers a panorama of the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean.
The Kanakakunnu Palace, located in Trivandarum city was built in late 19th century by travoncore royalty.The interiors are decorated with large crystal chandeliers and exquisite pieces of royal furniture. Kovalam, Beach located on Arabian Sea offers a natural cove with shallow waters stretching for hundreds of metres & are ideal for swimming.

Morning after breakfast, half day city tour of Old and New Delhi. Afternoon transfer to the Railway station to begin the seven night luxurious train journey. Dinner on Board.

Day 03 : : Jodhpur
Morning arrival in Jodhpur, the ‘Blue City’ at the entrance of the Thar Desert. Tour of the city visiting the magnificent Meharangarh fort with palaces and temples, housing a rich collection of palanquins, jewels and armory. Jaswant Thada, a 19th century royal cenotaph, an example architectural brilliance. Return to the train for your onward journey to Udaipur.

Day 04 : : Udaipur / Chittorgarh
Arrive in the morning. After breakfast on board proceed for the city tour of Udaipur, the city interspersed with shimmering lakes, marble palaces and beautiful laid gardens. Visit the City Palace complex, a marvel of marble and granite with ornate windows and craftsmanship in glass. Lunch is followed by a visit to the crystal gallery. Return to the train and depart for Chittorgarh. Visit the Fort that still reverberates with stories of courage, chivalry, valor and sacrifices.

Day 05 : : Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambhor National Park) / Jaipur
Early morning arrival in Sawai Madhopur. Morning wildlife safari at the Ranthambor National Park, a Project Tiger Reserve. The reserve is noted for daylight Tiger sightings. The other fauna includes Panther, Nilgai, Hyena fox, sloth bear, wild boar, marsh crocodile and variety of resident and migratory birds. Continue on to Jaipur, popularly known as the ‘Pink City’. Visit the Amber Fort with huge ramparts and watch towers. Sightseeing of the city visiting Hawa Mahal (The Palace of the Winds), City Palace complex housing centuries-old artifacts and Observatory. In the evening depart for Khajuraho.

Day 06 : : Khajuraho
Arrive in the morning and visit the magnificent rock-cut Chandela temples, the evidences of an architectural geniuses, built between 950 -1050 AD and frequently depicting erotic themes. These temples were discovered by Captain T S Burt in 1838, though only 20 of them have survived. In the evening depart for Varanasi.

Day 07 : : Varanasi
Morning arrival in Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities of the world situated on the banks of the holy Ganges. Also known as Kashi and Banaras, Varanasi has been a symbol of spiritualism, philosophy & mysticism for thousands of years & has produced great saints. Varanasi is the most popular pilgrimage for Hindus & center of music & learning. Sightseeing includes visit to temples, Ghats and a visit to Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first sermon. Witness the Maha Aarti and in the evening depart for Agra.

Day 08 : : Agra
Morning arrival in Agra. Breakfast on board. Proceed for the city seeing of Agra. Visit the immortal Taj Mahal, a poem in marble, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and Fort with several Palaces and Mosques including the largest pure marble mosque built by Mughal Kings. Agra is famous for handicrafts products such as Inlay work on marvel, leather work, footwear, brass-wear, carpets, Jewelry, Zari & embroidery work. Late in the evening depart for Delhi.

Early in the morning visit the Taj Mahal at Sunrise. A UNESCO World Heritage, the Taj Mahal is one of the world’s greatest architectural wonders constructed entirely out of white marble with beautiful inlay work and marble screens. Return to the train and enjoy a leisurely breakfast as the train passes through the fascinating Chambal Ravines with deep and narrow gorges. Arrive into the royal city of Gwalior, city where many reigning dynasties have left indelible etchings of their rule on all its palaces, temples and monuments. Continue to the Usha Kiran Palace and experience a Royal traditional welcome. Enter this 120-year-old palace, which has played host to the King of England. After lunch visit the magnificent Gwalior Fort with its exquisite temples and palaces, the most spectacular being the Man Mandir Palace. This palace is a masterpiece of Rajput architecture, embellished with exquisite stone carving and latticework. Visit the opulent Jai Vilas Palace. Admire the stupendous Durbar Hall with its crystal staircase, arched ceiling with stunning gold leaf work supporting two of the world’s largest chandeliers. Built by Chandela Hindu kings between 950 and 1050 AD in a truly inspired burst of creativity, the temples of Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are superb examples of Indo-Aryan architecture. The highly sensual engravings frequently depict erotic themes. Experience the fascinating Son-et-Lumière spectacle before returning to the train. Day 05 : : Umaria (Bandhavgarh National Park)
This morning after breakfast on board you arrive in Umaria and drive to the Bandhavgarh National Park. With the highest known density of tigers, it was the former hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Rewa. The grasslands and sal forests of Bandhavgarh supports wide variety of animal and bird life including deer, langurs, sloth bears and exotic birds. After lunch at a wildlife resort drive by jeep into the park to spot an elusive tiger. Return to Umaria and board the train. Dinner on board.

Meet and greet at Calicut International Airport or the railway station and proceed toMunnar which is 120 km away. First point is Mattuppetty where nature is at its best. MARAYOOR (40 Km from Munnar)- This is the only place in Kerala that has a natural growth of sandalwood trees. The Sandalwood factory of the forest department, the caves (muniyaras) with murals and relics from the New Stone Age civilization and the children’s park spread across a hectare of land under the canopy of a single Banyan tree are of great interest to tourists. Thoovanamwater falls and Rajiv Gandhi National park are also near by.

Chinnar wild life sanctuary: Situated on the border of TAMILNADU, Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is spread across 90.44 sq.km.
